Had an intermittent issue with trailer lights, so I figured that while I'm troubleshooting it, now would be a great time to upgrade to LED. I'm contemplating replacing the wiring harness as well. But I've run into a few questions. Most of the 5-pole harnesses only have 4-5' blue wire lead. I think this is the lead to reverse/brake lockout. But I think this wire also must travel to the rear to illuminate the back-up light. Obviously I could run another wire from the reverse light to the brake actuator, but the whole purpose of re-wiring is to eliminate as many old/bad/ connections as possible, especially at the rear where the trailer takes a dunk. Am I missing something? Do I need to order a harness from BCB that has a full length reverse wire?
**Edit/update: As usual, BCB comes through! I called BCB and spoke w/Pete in the parts dept. He's gonna send me a new BCB harness WITH the additional lead needed for the reverse light (also cheaper than online trailer stores) and I'm certain this one will be up to BCB standards
