Sabre Humminbird 1198 Install

For Christmas I got a Humminbird 1198 from myself and family for my 2007 Sabre. This past weekend my dad and I installed it. This was the hardest electronic install I have ever done. There is no room to mount this big of a graph on a Sabre, but with some redneck ingenuity we did it. My advice to anybody with a Sabre is to get a 8" screen graph or smaller with the normal 1.5" Ram mount so it can be mounted in front of the gear shift. With the 2.25" Ram mount and 1198 it is just too cramped. Now that its mounted, I love it and cant wait to take it to the lake. I also got the Navionics Platinum and from just playing with it at home its worth the extra money over Premium.



Transducer mounted on jackplate. Drilled and tapped holes for it.



Lowrance LMS-520c on bow. Mounted new transducer on trolling motor (instead of using factory mounted hull transducer that I hated).

Looks Good! My 1198 come off top right of console w/ ram mounted flush to face of console, I've been wanting to move smaller sonar to that spot and move my 1198 to right similar to the way yours is, just haven't got around to it .

Where did you get the plate in the center of your dash? I need one like that to cover up some holes.

I made the plate out of a blank license plate. Cut it to fit and put the BCB sticker on it. Went to lake for about 3hrs yesterday. Only caught 1 fish, but the HB worked great.
