Having an issue with the Motormate product.

Is anyone else having issues with the plastic inserts that fit in the metal tubes cracking and falling apart? The first one I had the left side insert just feel apart in pieces. They sent me a replacement and it has now happened to that one only the right side tube now. They are willing to replace it for a third time but I am looking to see if anybody has had this issue and modified theirs to correct this problem. Thanks

I haven't had any problem with mine, and I've cranked the motor down pretty good. What type of motor?

I haven't had any problems on a SHO 250.I don't crank down the motor either. I just snug it up as suggested by the manufacture. I doesn't take much pressure to make the motor solid to the boat. One of the reasons I like it so much. I don't feel this is putting excessive pressure on the hydraulic system. I am wondering if the problem could be a different size bolts between the motors?
