Anyone tried one? Just traded my seldom used 24 bravo for a 25 promax... Probably just toning to be a backup unless it can be made better than my hydro....

ProMax 30P
Here is what I posted back in Feb.
Went south last week and had some better weather to prop test.
All these numbers are with just me, all my gear, plenty of refreshments, full fuel, empty livewell.. Which is way short of how I run 90% of the time with two guys, and gear along with full live well.... But dang it was fun !!
The 30 Pmax is just too big for my normal fishing load, but great with just me. Hole shot was ok-- nothing to write home about.. But it pulled hard all the way and would run 91 at 5900.. I ran out of jack plate or could have ran more top end.. Drives good.
Was more impressed with the 29 Bravo with 8 vent holes..However I ended up plugging 4.
Hole shot was impressive, pulled hard all the way thru. and drives as easy as any prop I have used. Once again I think I ran out of jack plate as I normally don't need the extra prop height with the loads I carry. It would run 89 + at 6400 rpm. Keep in mind these are 1.75 gears!!!! and high elevation.
For what ever reason there is a lot of difference in the two props to only be 1" different in pitch.
I will have a like new 30 Pmax with factory PVS holes for sale. It's just to much for my application.
Sounds good. I have a stiffened 25 hydro that runs out pretty good and still have a 22 bravo for skiing so It seemed like a good idea to just swap to see the difference.
