Got my setback adjusted, now engine height

Got my setback adjusted to 13 1/2 inches. Now I'm having a problem with the engine height. The lowest I can go is 1/4 inch above the pad. To go any lower, I would have to adjust the sideplates on the jackplate. If I do that, It would only leave holes to put two bolts per side. Now there are three bolts per side. Is it safe to have only two bolts per side? Any other ideas?

    Thanks a bunch

Have you looked at lowering the clamp bracket on the motor? In other words, unbolting the clamp from the jackplate and using different holes to mount the motor lower on the jackplate?

This would be the easiest fix for your issue.

    Re: (Hullbilly)

If I understant your question, yes, it is on the lowest setting. Does Allison make different sideplates?. Thinking I might have the wrong one. It's kinda like its angled up instead of straight back.
