I just got home a few mins. ago and my son calls me to tell me about Scott Kalitta getting killed today while quilifing in fuel funny car. He sent me a link from youtube, very drastic top end explosion crash. Looks like he was probably killed from the fire/explosion, he never appeared to try to stop the car.

I saw earlier they were running behind on qualifieng,,and he had a bad wreck..They only said that he had been transfered to a local hospital.
My wife has realy gotten into watching ever since Force and his family had that reality show..Which is the only reality show we have ever watched. Anyway she has gotten to be a bigger fan that me.....
She asked today why they were not showing the crash..I did not tell her that..In the past if they thought it might be fatal they would not show it..
Man that's tough...but these guys know it could happen to any of them
They showed the highlights on the news last night, the explosion and the crash. I don't know anything about dragsters, but it looked to me like that even with the explosion and fire, that the driver did his best to hold his lane to prevent collateral casualties. He kept it straight down the line all the way to the end.
