    Here's da scoop.......

Luke(legacy_hunter02) and I took the Allison on a lil' fishin' trip to Lake of the Ozarks this weekend for chitz and grinz.... I've had the boat on the water only 2 times before this trip and was itchin to get er wet again... The last time I took it to Lake Norfork in northern Arkansas so I could get some seat time under my belt... I figured it out purty good that trip and seen 84.5gps before I backed out of it(I didn't think my brother-in-law really wanted to go much faster then that! ).... Luke and I went mostly to boat ride today, but decided to go ahead and fish a little too.... We took a long ride when we dunked it so I could get it out of my system for a little while , then went fishin... I got to catch my first fish out the Allison and so did Luke(Don't laugh at the dinks in the pics, He made me post them because they was the first ones ).... Now that I caught a fish out of er, I was ready to go boat flying again.... ) Here's what we found out....

    Boat................ '03 Allison XB21 BasSport
    Motor............... '03 MERC 250XS W/SportMaster and 1.62 gears
    Prop................ 27" Trophy Plus
    Wind................ 15-20 mph
    Water temp....... 61-62 degrees
Air temp........... 50 morn, 63 afternoon
Fishing load....... 6 rods and 8 or so Plano 3700 boxes for me... 3 rods and 5-6 Plano boxes for Luke...
    Live well........... Empty
    Fuel Tank.......... About 3/4
Batteries........... 3... One in the center, 2 in the rear port storage
Cooler.............. Bag-O-Ice, 5-6 Mountain dews and Diet Pepsi's...
    People.............. 2, Me @ 205lbs, Luke @ 165lbs
Other stuff........ Rainsuit, extra life jacket, buttseat and pole, boat fenders, dip net, glove box full of chit, and other small items...

She ran 89.6 gps @ 5700-5800 rpm's!!!! I think she was still climbin, but I ran out of NADS!!! The wind was gusting at times making it real "different" to drive with the amont of seat time I have... Trust me, I wanted to see that magical 90 mark but I figured it would be better to wait for less wind and a little smoother water.... SORRY IF YOU SEEN THIS POST TWICE!!! I ALSO POSTED IT IN THE LOUNGE... I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE ALL MY ALLI BOYZ GOT TO SEE IT TOO....

Kinda makes you grin from ear to ear

What is the elevation there ?
That was a LIGHT load for what me and my partner haul.
But how was the hole shot with the 27 and has it been worked.

    Hey Fireman....

I think the elavation is 657or so... Ya, I know, my load was a little light, I haven't put everything back in I took out of the Champ yet, but we seemed to have what we needed for this time of the year.... Well, sort of.... Hole shot is really purty good from what I can tell... We tested 0-30 once with gps and it was a little over 7 seconds( kinda hard to tell for sure, mph went from 28.X to 32.X, 32.X was when I hollered "30"...)... From what I can tell, the Trophy is stock with 3 solid plugs in and 1 hole empty... I looks like all the other trophys I've and there is no stamping or engraving like it's been worked... All in all, it does a real good job.... It pulls real strong from 60-80.....

Sounds like a good time was had by all.
Also sounds like you have a pretty good handle on the Allison for only a few times out, especially since the wind was howling and churning things up. You still have about 3 mph left in it before you hit the rev. limiter.
Another thing that we all forget about is that in a regular Bass boat in 50 to 60 degree weather even 50 mph is very cold, much less 89 mph! Boy are we spoiled.

    Have fun & be careful.

Amazing that you have run that speed this quick. "You have learned well young Luke"
I do believe the 21 is the easiest driving Allison that I have driven. But for the 3rd time out---- Dat's Goot--
As the temps warms back up this spring and you add more Wt. stuff, junk.
It might help to pull some more prop vent plugs.
I don't have any Trophy props left or I would send one in.
But Everytime I have talked to Darris about this hull he talks about getting the "Allison cut" done to a Trophy.

    Lee,

Just think how spoiled some are who have the Pro-sport or the 2003 Style windshield.
    Especially when it's raining

For sure on the ProSport models, your BasSport is very close to as good as far as the wind goes. I ran my Demo 21 PrpSrort Monday Afternoon @ 90 mph with a 2.5 xs 2/ 200 lb. guys, 3/4 tank gas, 3-batteries, all safety equip. & t/m, no tackle, felt like it was running 60 mph, just cruising, ran another brand boat I use to sell today same load and people with a 225 pro xs, 80-81mph, wind sucking my sun glasses off my face, eyes watering so bad I couldn't see, felt like we were running 100 mph, I could lean over from behind the console while driving and see better than I could sitting behind the console, it may not keep the wind off but those laid back windshields sure look cool. LOL
