The motor is a 2007 E-TEC 200 (60 degree) mounted on a Boston Whaler Outrage 22 Cuddy. The motor serial # is 05156970 and the model # is E200DPXSU. There are 26 hours on the motor per the I-Command gauges.
Accellerating from idle speeds to 3/4 or nearly full throttle (for example, getting up on plane leaving the harbor) the motor hesitates briefly before accellerating. You might call it a miss, but really it just bogs momentarily, then runs flawlessly otherwise. Yesterday while out fishing, the hesitation was enough to stall the engine a few times. It would restart easily, but the stalling really concerns me. Any thoughts on possible causes? The Racor filter was new when the motor was installed at the start of the summer, and when I drained the bowl, it appeared to be all gasoline. Also, fuel lines are new, as is the BRP brand hose and primer. I did just recieve a service notice, which I beleive is related to an update on the fuel map. Could this be related? The motor runs flawlessly otherwise, instant starts even after sitting for 3 weeks. If I accelerated at a more gradual pace, it did not hessitate, and ran well at all rpm ranges once up on step.
