Probably not posting in right forum but what's the general consensus if you lose a plastic insert from a rod guide? Do you need to replace the whole guide or do you replace just the insert if you have them?

I use to have the whole guide replaced, but now it's hard to find any place around here to do it anymore. If it's just a tip I have no problem doing it myself. Everytime I've tried to put a insert back in, they've always came out again.![]()
Luke 22:36
Putting a clown in the castle doesn't make him a king, it turns the castle into a circus
I have a Loomis that has a guide insert that keeps popping out so I would say you should just replace the guide. I am actually on my way to Fairfield Tackle this morning to have a few guides replaced on a kistler. They do a good job and they're reasonable. I don't know any other place near us that do this kind of work.
I replace the insert. Just a touch of superglue will keep em in a long time.
