4 stroke outboard (sho), Water Pollution?

Can't really make heads or tails of any of the studies that I find. As to the amount of pollution a 4 stroke outboard creates in the water.
Not the air.
Talking about underwater, and specifically a Yamaha 250 SHO.

Or even more specifially..Would ya drink a margarita blended up in a 55 gallon drum by an SHO?

The underwater exhaust will still have the by-products of combustion in it, just like a car exhaust... the margaritas may have a smoky flavor, so tell 'em that it's a new smoke flavored tequila that's all the rage in Mexico.

Go for it - I'm sure that it won't make you any worse for wear.

I would think it was less then a two stroke because you're not burning oil with your gas, but like was said before it would be like drinking your car exhaust.

We've got one large (56 sq. miles, per Wikipedia) lake that has banned 2-cycle outboards. It's just a matter of time before the 2-cycle OB is history, IMO.
