did it once while vacationing in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge. Definately not worth a special trip especially from 5 hours away.

I have never done it but have heard the same kind of remarks from several other people...
Its neat. I have been to it a couple times. Fly Away is the name if I remember right? I agree though, probably not worth the 5 hour trip for the 20 mins you get in there. But, there is also Dollywood, Splash Country, and Cherokee (and several skydiving places that will let you jump tandem). So, if you made your trip worth the time, there is definitely plenty to do around here.
Ask Nitro 750 about making jumps. David can be found down on the carolina bass club boards.

I spent a career jumping out of planes and sometimes we would do some training in the simulators. What questions do you have? Ive never used the one in TN so dont know anything about the size, wind speed or cost.

I'd look at the prices. They're talking about adding one here at the oceanfront. I forget how much it was going to run, but I know it was rediculously expensive for what you got. I'm biased though. I used to get to repel out of helos for free when I was in the Navy.![]()
They're called Tunnels in the skydiving community. The enclosed ones anyway. Most of them, at least on the east coast stay pretty busy, and aren't cheap. I'd make sure you call well ahead if you're if your looking to get a particular date...
might as well go to disney and go on soarin sounds like the same kinda think
you tube theres one in orlando fl that has lots of video on line ! good luck have fun![]()
Daughter and her boyfriend just did it this last weekend in Eloy, Az and said they had a blast!
She said their shoulders were really sore and they had wind burn on their faces from flying.

Have you considered making a real skydive? Contact the closest skydiving club and ask them if they offer AFF (accelerated free fall). You'll get several hours of ground training and then 2 AFF instructors will take you up to about 12,000 ft and exit the aircraft with one instructor holding on to you on each side. the fall is about a minute in length give or take. they ensure your parachute starts to open and then they fall away leaving you under a canopy to enjoy the rest of the ride. Most have radios and a person on the ground telling you which way to turn the parachute so you'll land on the drop zone. Good luck and be careful as it just might be addictive.
