thats New Smyrna beach...........I only spent like a day or two a week there for the 2 straight years after I turned 16 and got a car.........there are a ton of sharks but they are all litle bull sharks that really never do any damage........I think its the worlds #1 attack spot yet I don't think there has ever been a fatality or even a lost limb![]()
Had a few swim with feet of my numerous times![]()

its kind of scary but you get used to it
Thats why I will never go swimming in saltwater, too many creatures bigger than me. I would rather stay away from the ocean.

There are a lot of sharks off the coast of Bama, (Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.) Although I never heard of any attacks during the 4 years I lived there. We used to see a lot of them when fishing off shore, some as close as a few hundred yards from the beach. Mostly hammerheads and bull sharks. Bull sharks are pretty agressive, or so I am told. They also get fairly large, at least large enough to do some damage. The first year I lived down there, someone caught an 800lb hammerhead a mile out, off of Orange Beach.![]()

normal? there are sharks in every ocean in the worldbut the ones around there aren't that big or aggressive most are 4-6 feet and less than 100lbs so they aren't really man eaters.......reason for all the attacks is the sharks are feeding on mullet and other baitfish in the surf and the water isn't that clear so every now and then one grabs a foot or hand they might be spalshing around

but they usually don't hold on that long though
