Why not do away with cash.
All transactions through a debit card, with all your personal info on a chip.
If you didn't pick up after your dog, you won't ever be allowed to buy food again........
Or just tattoo the bar code on people's forearms.
Give a man a fish, he will eat for a day
Teach a man to fish, he will complain that you stole his fishing spot.

So you're ok with people driving around without insurance? Let one hit you and you might change your tune.

Putting a clown in the castle doesn't make him a king, it turns the castle into a circus
Here in OK when you regester your car you have to show proof but then on top of that they charge a $1.50 fee for insurance verification and it does nothing to solve the problem. Infact, we are one of the worst states since most people buy a months worth and the register the car and then cancell it.
Asked about the fee one time and weather they actuall called to see if the card was good and they said no, we just get a copy from you thanks for the $1.50![]()

What the heck? You mean you want people to abide by the law? Hey, if I run into you then you probably shouldn't have been there anyway! I don't need insurance as long as you do.![]()

That's what I was thinking. It's coming one day. I would advise not to do it when it does!

Where did I say that?
I am just wondering how a government that can't get me a landfill sticker on time, every year, for the last 12 years, is going to justify cars out of gas on the highway because "That's what the machine said".
You to run down the store to get 5 gallons of gas in a can. You would usually pay cash for it. Now, you would need to tell Exxon your name, plate #, registration info and insurance coverage.
Think they might charge you for that "extra" that helps the government out?

As intrusive legislation proliferates and the power of government expands, personal freedoms contract. Laws that are on the books now would have been laughed out of Congress only twenty years ago. Who knows, maybe someday they can even force you to buy health insurance.

That was my thought. Maybe the government over there should charge people that buy car insurance more money and then provide free car insurance to those that choose not to buy it or can't afford it. Yeah!!! That's a brilliant idea![]()

I had a guy in tears once that didn't have proof of insurance after hitting someones' vehicle. I explained to him that under the new Texas Traffic Law regarding providing proof of liability insurance that I was obligated to the victim to turn my back until he physically felt that he had gotten some monetary satisfaction from the subject who had struck his vehicle. My partner at the seen of the wreck had to turn his back as he was laughing so hard. I went back to the victim and talked to him, and then returned to the uninsured motorist and told him it was his luck day as the victim had asked that I just cite him rather than letting him kick his butt. The victim was unaware of the prank I had on the other guy.

Trenton New Jersey cannot even get toilet paper orders done correctly...lets not be asking the gov. to be involved in any more.
Everyone should have insurance...don't get me wrong...but really the insurance policy you have is supposed to protect you from uninsured drivers. By rights, getting hit by an uninsured driver and an insured driver should make no difference to YOU...that is if insurance companies were doing what we pay them for. The problem here is not with uninsured drivers but with insurance companies not wanting to PAY out on uninsured drivers...JMO.
I sure wish there was a way they could keep people off the road who don't have insurance. I don't know if this new idea will work or not. My late wife and I, were hit by an uninsured driver down in Gulf Shores a few years ago. I was surely happy I had uninsured motorist coverage. The a$$ clowns who hit me did almost $7000 damage to my truck. My insurance company covered all of it but my $500 deductible.

And there lies the problem. You were completely innocent but some jackwagon who was considered to be at-fault for the accident did not carry insurance. Because of this, even though you were innocent, you had to fork over $500 from your pocket for his mistake. Damn right there should be a way to force insurance coverage.

I agree, and who is to say the ins companies wont jack rates because you have to have ins to get gas. We need less gov't regulation in this country not more. Yes, i wish everybody would be responsible and buy insurance but its not the govt place to enforce it in this manner. Just my 2 cents.
