    Smallmouth in Lake Norman.

One of the guys in our weekley old guy/retired guy/not working guy $5.00 big fish tourney caught a smallmouth in Davidson creek yesterday. First one I have seen, pretty neat.

Hate to brake your bubble, but I saw it myself. I myself caught one in Lake Rhodhiss and Lake James is full of them. Coming from the North and having caught hundreds of them I do know the difference.

Exactly.... hence the question mark at the end of my sentence.

I will rephrase......... Are you saying, that there are no smallmouth bass in any of the lakes in NC or any of the lakes around you and this was the first time you ever saw one?

Well I guess I have to answer the question. They are not suposed to be in Lake Norman. This is why it's a big deal. So to anwswer your question, Yes there are smallies in North Carolina.
