Rusty ,I have an 05 225 ho etec. Could you let me know if I need the deflector pin update with spark plugs,what the newest software updates are and associated part no.'s. I will be having this service done since I have to do the stratos trailer recall. Also I changing oil to xd100 can I mix with xd50 or should it be be drained? My ser. no is[ 5109502]. Your serial number shows you need the deflector pin kit, serial number 5139665 and above have the pin kit installed.
You will need to have the dealer check the map number and see if you need to upgrade the software.
I would suggest you run the oil tank low (to about 1/4 of a tank) and fill the tank with XD-100, run the motor normally for 2 hours (above 2000), this will get the 100 in the oil system then have the dealer switch the EMM to XD-100.
