    rc helicopters or airplanes?

Who has them? Went down south to visit with some of my family last weekend and my Uncle had bought a rc heli. It was a blast, so i bought one for me . Just a cheap 100 dollar one, but could definetly see this turning into a expensive hobby. Got on a RC forum and found some for around 6 grand ....Anyone fly?

I just got into the hobby, buy a simulator it will save you lots of money and frustration. I have a Blade 120SR but have a Beam E4 on the way. It`s lots of fun and very challenging.

RC boats are the way to go. Just tie on a crank and you can enjoy two hobbies at once. Search youtube for remote contolled boats catching fish and you'll laugh your butt off. The ones with chunk bait catching catfish are hilarious.

I wouldn't say that I "fly" but I have two Heli that I crash the hell out of!

I started with a Blade mSR-X about 6 weeks ago or so. Since then bought the Phoenix simulator, a Spektrum DX6i radio and then two weeks ago a Blade mCP-X. Fun for sure but with my skills, I am starting to wonder if I should have just bought a couple new rod and reel sets.

Neither...I do have boats though. With all RC stuff, you'll need two at minimum. It's not "IF" you wreck it...you will eventually. Take boats for example, they will flip out of water and onto shore eventually

Those Bud boats are Bad to the bone!
I have a retainer pond behind my house, the way I fly, maybe I should get a boat!

I just went through 3 battery packs out in the front yard trying to get the mCP-X into an inverted hover... Fail! The neighborhood kids that were out playing basketball probably think I am an idiot! These micros take a heck of a beating. I am proud to say that I did not break anything thing (new that is, all previous tape and glue jobs held up great!)

I Am looking for an under $100 RC heli that looks like a UH-1 or a H-13....for my father...He was a Pilot in VN,.......I would be fun to let him mess around with one.......

I have looked but can't seem to find a good resemblance.

    UH-1

It's not under $100 but to be honest, the $100 ones are pretty easy to fly... not much challange... means your gonna want a bigger one even sooner.

I got a couple of the trainer RC planes they are a blast. There was a guy near me a few years back that was building F-16's from scratch that had real jet engines in them. They sounded real and everything. He use to buzz the interstate with them lol.
