    Bag suggestions

I am looking for some reviews for some type of bag for a "bug out". It would really be just to keep in the truck. I want to put some first aid supplies, couple of bottles of water, maybe some paracord and a fire starter. Not looking for anything real big it needs to fit under the back seat(about 10"). Was actually looking at a Alice pack but was unsure if it would be to larger. Thanks in advacne.

I use an Eddie Bower bag I got when I bought a Ford explorer ! Any durable hunting back pack would do IMO.

I'd say pick up something like a 3-Day assault pack from your local Army Surplus. They are small enough to fit under your seat, they can be expanded to hold a lot if necessary, and it's a back pack. You can always add to them using the PALS webbing if needed to hang more on the pack. If you want something that is more like a duffle bag, something from a sporting store will do, or you can spend the $$ on something from Maxpedition, who makes some nice, quality bags for any and everybody.

Plenty of quality day packs available at all the retail dealerships. I have a pack from Cabelas that I can compress from the side by cinching down the straps. Plenty of interior and exterior storage. Should be something that fits what you are looking for.

a 10 inch bag is not a bug out bag. A 10 inch bag will keep you safe and alive for a couple of hours. A 10 inch bag will only hold a few magazines of ammo. LOL! Go big or go home. Create a bug out bag that you can survice for 3 days.

    Thanks,

    Re: Bag suggestions (Rstrelec)

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at the 3 day pack on line and it looked a bit large but I will go and put my hands on one of them. As far as what distater I am really just looking for something to keep some first aid supplies in. I am on the road alot and most of the times it is back roads so I thought it would be nice to be able to help myself or others if needed.

This is what I recommend, plastic bottom and solid built. Get the biggest one you can.
