Just got a phone call from Mark "Z-Train" Zona asking me to spread the word that due to circumstances beyond his control he will not be able to make his appearance at Bass Pro Shops Detroit this Friday March 2nd. He has graciously offered to give another day to that store at a later time along with a fishing trip to be given away from the Detroit store only! He apologized profusely as he has never missed an in-store before but adding a trip to help sweeten the deal was nice. Certainly NOT a Zona TV fan but that right there makes me a Zona person fan. Everyone has "stuff" pop up beyond our control but that is going the extra mile to amend something he probably had ZERO control over!!! Good deal right there.

I have to go to the Palace on Friday for the HS state wrestling championships and I was going to stop by BPS.......Who else is going to be there????

Tell him it is nothing a couple boxes of his tube jig heads won't fix.....

I dont know how much time we will have. We are scheduled to be instore from 5-9pm. We dont land until 3:15p, will have to check into the hotel and head to the store right away. Then afterwards we are supposed to head to Edmond to have dinner with Mike Stranz and his wife. Maybe we can meet up in Edmond....

Either way, come on by the store and we will at least get to meet you and laugh about something! lol

You are correct. ZERO control over. I am sure he will be working day and night all week to get the Classic show done. He called me from the studio in Little Rock...he sounded BEAT!

Met him at a show two years ago, and he was incredibly nice. Not what I expected at all. Gave out a ton of lures, talked to people for at least an hour after his tank demo.

I just heard from the Detroit store now. Looks like you may still want to attend on Friday the 2nd. No Mark will not be there BUT the store will be giving out sixteen $25 gift cards and one $100 gift card for the cancellation.....

Also they have informed me that Mark will be in the store on April 28th to make up for this cancellation. It is unkown at this time how or when the additional fishing trip with Mark will be given away.

Dont forget that you can enter to win a 2 day expense paid trip with mark that will be filmed for his show RIGHT NOW at BPS. Entry deadline is March 12th. See your local store for details!
