would like opinions on these vehicles. family ride, needs 3rd row, and the "possibility" to tow my Nitro Z7 (about 3000-3500lbs tops). mostly family everyday driving.

Do i even need to post![]()
Have not had any Flex's at the shop for me to comment on them
We had a GMC Acadia - same as the Traverse........and I loved it. We left the third row down most of the time and the room in the back was unreal.
wife wanted something different and more 'loaded' so we traded it in on the Equinox......and I hate driving that sumbiotch.![]()
THIS SPACE FOR RENT
I think you would prefer a "body-on-frame" design for serious towing.
would either be sufficient in towing on occasion if needed?
Whats "body on frame"?

in an Edmonds comparison test, the Chevy actually has more interior room. better mpg, higher towing capacity, better acceleration, but the flex won overall for smaller details and style.
Wanted other opinions......keep em coming gang![]()
And to hell with 7 more kiddos hank![]()

Body on frame--like your pick-up. Look underneath and there is a frame---not just a piece of stamped sheet metal-----uni-body.
Chevy's just look cheaply made compared to Ford and quite honestly Dodge as well. Remember Ford cut its total number of models to focus on engineering and quality, not to mention you aren't buying Obamavrolet.

I don't like his policies one bit, they are costing my household tens of thousand a year, jobs, and hurting America. That's my opinion. I do live in the real world where he cannot run for office but one more term. None of us can UN do the GM mess.
It's not like Ford isn't as dirty. Check out a feller by the name of Gephardt. What is he doing on their BOD......a lobbiest really? Maybe that helped get some of that big green money?
Now huntsman Jr. Is also on their BOD, ya think that may be for his Chinese connections?
Buy what you like they are all run by the govermnet either out in the open or through the back door.
the whole Chevy/Ford deal I couldn't care less about. I just know these are comparable vehicles and was looking for opions on them![]()

FLEX!! Hands down, the best driving vehicle I have ever driven, and with the option of the EcoBoost V6...towing would be no problem.![]()

The traverse by far and it has more interior room than my current tahoe! I have had both.

I am going to be looking at a new tow vheicle when I get back from FL! This hemi is just too damn thirsty! 10 mpg @ $4 per ga. Thinking about a ranger with the 4 liter V-6.![]()

would love to have the ecoboost, but the problem is I don't think we are going to look at new. A bit out of our price range. Right now the 09 vehicles with about 40K on them are around the 20K mark give or take.

I'm surprised that the traverse has more room than the flex!! Between these two, I'd go Flex prolly, those things are growing on me!!
