Whats a good PC thats reliable and somewhat cheap (desktop)

my parents computer ate it last night. They will not use a mac its not gonna happen so i need to come up with a decent solution for a new pc as the one they have is old and was built and upgraded by me as far as its gonna ever go.

Dad does a lot of photo editing and internet crap. Mom is addicted to facebook games and the like.

we also do family video chat and i assume dad will do minor video editing on it as well.

we would like to come in at 600 or less. And need to find something fairly quickly.

Check Tigerdirect, they have a brand Systemax, made with quality off the shelf components, no cheap "custom designed parts" I've had no problems with them. I've probably bought 10-12 of them over the years for personal and business use.

TIGER DIRECT is good but don;t let them talk you into a discount program

IM sent. If you dont want to go through Tiger I sent you a number to contact me directly through the Systemax Factory. Again all assembled in the USA and supported in the USA.

You can get a medium grade Dell tower with a web cam (I assume they would need one, but if not, subtract $60) for around $480. I like Macs, but usually keep a PC around as well. When my last PC died, I just added a Dell tower to my existing components and it's run flawlessly for more than 2 years. I don't do nearly the online stuff your parents do, though, so frankly I'd be worried about *MY* parents using anything other than a Mac--not that they exactly DO computers...
