Re: Bass Pro Reel Trade In (mkmsports41)

Yes, did it today. I just got a brand new zebco 202 for $5 and traded that in. You walk into the store and hand it to customer service and then they give you a coupon. The more you spend the more you get off the price of the reel. I think they have some 202's at the counter you can buy to donate to the fishing program and then get the coupon.

Abu Garcia has a rebate going on right now for $30. So you can come out of there with a brand new Revo SX for $109 plus tax after trade in and rebate. Plus the cost of your donated reel.

    I have.

You just take in a reel to trade in and you get a discount on a new reel based on the cost of the new reel.

They are also doing a rod trade in this year.

Did it today, I wanted some of the new CarbonLight reels, showed up 3 hours after they opened on the first day of sale and they were completely sold out. I got 3 rain checks, it will be interesting if I end up getting the sale price and trade in……..

Re: Bass Pro Reel Trade In (FSHN ROD)

Is there a limit to the amount of rods/reels you can exchange, or only one of each?

I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!

Well then you should be FULLY AWARE then that the Johnny Morris Carbonlite The only Johnny Morris Carbonlite , the new one for this year has been DISCONTINUED already .

The only other is the Johnny Morris Signature series that is a totally different reel and is $139

So your trade-in value is based on a procentage?

I wonder why they discontinued it. The Carbonlite is a great reel for the money.

The may be discontinued but I just got off the phone with BPS and they still have plenty in stock. I ordered one when I was on the phone.

Where do you get this information? That reel was only just introduced in the past few weeks, I can't imagine it would be discontinued. It has been Out of Stock lately, but I've never seen information to say it has been discontinued.

    Re: (FSHN ROD)

Went today after work at 5PM. Traded in 2 reels and got a PQ and a spinning Pflueger Supreme MGX. Got $15 bucks off each reel and end price was $65 for the PQ and $85 for the Supreme. Good deal. Wasn't that crowded when I went in but when I came out at 6ish it was starting to be packed. Good crowd was watching the fish tank with a guy demo'ing an A-Rig. When I checked out the cashier said in the morning it was the most crowded the store has ever been...EVER. She said store managers turned baggers at the registers because it was just crazy packed. Glad I went early so I got everything I needed other than Zoom Swimmin Flukes. Still had power pro 65# so I was happy. Glad I didn't wait til tomorrow to go.

Re: Bass Pro Reel Trade In (mkmsports41)

There is a table in the flyer that shows the discount per reel based on price. This year Shimano's are eligible AND there is also a $30 rebate offer on chronarch, curado, and citica reels. some very good final cost on those shimano's.
