    Burglars in the bull’s eye

    http://www.examiner.com/gun-ri...ticle

"the public is angry and downright bloodthirsty. They're cheering for people like the homeowner who blasted one burglar with a shotgun the other night."

It's about time the social norm is allowing ppl to defend their selves and property.IMO

nothing wrong with protecting yourself and your family! Last summer at about 11 P.M a drunk guy tried to break in my parents house. My dad met him at the door with a 12 guage. The ole boy sobered up pretty quick and tried to leave, but my dad was not about to let that happen.

Good article. I keep my pistol with a full magazine right beside me at night. If someone breaks in and threatens me, I won't lose any sleep defending myself. I'd like to see them try to run off with a .40 to the knee.

I just can't see why someone should die over material goods.

I wouldn't want them running anywhere, so I wouldn't be aiming for a knee.

After a visit to Cabelas the other day I would say America is rearming itself and there just might be a few more of these. Since the police can no longer shoot these POS without over zealous scrutiny I guess its now up to the citizens. The line at the gun counter was unreal.

That would be my method for "detaining" them until the police arrived.

If someone is in your dark house in the middle of the night how do you know they are there to steal and not murder rape. Hard to tell intentions of dark strangers. I would shoot first ask questions later. My families safety too important to just guess.

Good luck hitting such a small area on a moving target, most likely in a dark room.

IMO there is only one good kind of thief, and that's a dead one. I'm with Uncle Ted 110% on that.

Ya I know I would never pull that off, maybe I just like talking like an internet badass.

He didn't actually say he would be aiming for the knee, that's just where he's most likely to hit him.

I agree 100% with Shannon. It's not my responsibility to stop an intruder and ask him what his intentions are. (Stop so I can ask you why you're here! Why are you here? Oh well, that depends Mr Homeowner, do you have any young girls around ? Maybe a pretty wife that I can rape?) I keep a gun upstairs and another downstairs, if someone breaks into my house I'm going to shoot them, cut and dry! And I don't ask for the opinions of liberals that want to coddle criminals.

This is a small shop only two guys working there and they told me that business has been crazy for a while. Wake up California law makers, your people want their gun rights upheld and not taken away.

If the burglar knew that was a possibility, then he or she wouldn't do it.

Re: Burglars in the bull’s eye (haveme1)

If you break into my house when it's obvious that someone is home as cars are on the carport in plan view, I would defiantly expect to catch lead poisoning in the process. I don't play, especially when my wife or daughter are involved. I have dead bolts, stickers showing I have an alarm system on the doors, and 3 vicious sounding dogs that bark at everything in the house. If this is not a sure sign that you're not welcome you deserve to meet my Ruger. He has 18 in him and 17 more in the 2nd mag on my holster. I do believe in "Gun Control" = hit what you aim for....
