Angler of the Year gets to be first out on day one (KVD), which is the way it should be, then the others are drawn by random and then the field is reversed on day two.
Edwin Evers has the misfortune to be last out on day one of the Classic. If the river hasn't cleaned up a bit, then it may fish very small and most of the choice spots taken before he arrives.
Somebody's got to be last out. I've been it many times, which doesn't matter since I'm never on anything.
Where did you find the boat draw results for day one? Better yet, post them, if you can. Thanks

The Red River can change overnight, I seen it come up a foot as well as go down a foot, Double "E" will handle it and use the time to his advantage as he might gather enough information on the first day to help him out of the gate for the second day, of course that is only if he is fishing up in Pool #5. Once you hit the Locks and go down into Pool #4 that is when it's a blast and the "Race is on", last tournament I fished there I had fish located all the way down to Lock #4, it's like 35 or so miles down the river, 50+ boats and screw the sand bars! That is when you figure out how to tweak things to get that 1-2 mph extra out of your rig. I'm hoping Double "E" can put this one in the bag.

Classic: Boat launch order 2/23/2012
Below is the launch order for day 1 of the Bassmaster Classic at the Red River. Keep in mind that with the anticipated crowded conditions in a limited number of backwater areas, being the first angler to arrive at chosen locale could be a major advantage.
Kevin VanDam will go first due to his reigning Angler of the Year (AOY) status. The other 48 positions were determined by random draw and the order will be reversed for day 2.

I'd rather be fishing cause girls fish too.
I kind of doubt the takeoff spot will have any bearing on who wins the Classic. I would guess there are plenty of good spots down there.

True!
Everyone says the river will fish small, Edwin may be sharing the same area with the same guys soon enough regardless of where he starts. In a 50 boat field everyone going to that area will be there in the first 10-15 minutes anyways.

Pretty much fair game the first day. Those guys know they will be fishing on top of one another. It's the guys that come in on a productive spot the second day if they weren't there the first that get under other's skin
If AOY gets 1st starting postion on day 1 and the rest of the field is inverted on day 2 where is the AOY starting position for day 2. Also on day 3 the field is cut down in size. I cant remember the number 20 or 25 ? How does day 3 start ? highest weight 1st then on down the list ?
