I have a 03 200 pro Xl with a 225 vmax. Boat currently has a 4 blade power tech 27p. Boat will run 72 and has plenty of room to go a lot faster. but I do not have a jack plate on boat and it chine walks like no other. Adding a 8inch hydraulic very soon. Prop has great hole shot and handles awesome. Hope that helps

In order to really help you, we need a little more information. Which jackplate do you have? What kind of load do you run (light, heavy, tournament load)? What trolling motor do you have 24V or 36V? What is the goal? Do you want to see how fast you can get this boat to go or do you want to be able to run as fast as you can with a load?

I have a 200 PXL with the 225 Pro XS and have a lot of experience with this combo. I run mine fairly heavy (tournament loaded, water in livewells alot, etc). I have a 10" jackplate and my motor is mounted in the center hole. The center of the propshaft is about 2.5" below the pad. I have owned several of these boats and they typically like one thing in particular.....bow lift. Forget the talk about stern lift and everything else. To get this hull to run, you need bow lift. The way to get this is to use a large diameter, high rake, three blade prop with a lot of cup. I run a 26 pitch OMC Original Raker. I realize that sounds strange to some since the original raker is hard to run on a Merc because of the fit but that is what I run. It is by far the fastest prop I have ever ran on this combo. There are other options like the 26 tempest, TXP, Razor, and the Yamaha T1. You should be in the 25 - 26 pitch range with any of these you choose.

I run a 25 txp on my Pro XS and the boat rides super flat. If you want bowlift great, but I don't like my nose pointing to the sky.

I tried a 25 and 26 fury on mine and they wouldn't run. If I remember correctly those were 70-71 props for me.
