    Russians capture Somalian Pirates

    Anyone speak Russian ?
I wish I had an interpretation of what is being said.

*This is the story with the video*

"This video shows Russian Navy commandos on a Somalian pirate ship shortly after the pirates had captured a Russian oil tanker. The Euro Union navy that patrols these waters would not interfere because they feared there could be casualties.

All explanations are in Russian with a single exception of when a wounded pirate says something in English and the Russian soldier says "This is not a fishing boat". All conversations between the commandos are in Russian. If you don't understand Russian, the pictures speak for themselves.

The soldiers freed their compatriots and the tanker. The Russian Navy Commandos moved the pirates back to their own (pirate) ship, searched the pirate ship for weapons and explosives and then they left the ship and exploded it with all remaining pirates hand-cuffed to it.

The commandos sank the pirate ship along with the pirates and without any court proceedings, lawyers etc. That is, they used the anti-piracy laws of the 18th and 19th centuries where the captain of the rescuing ship has the right to decide what to do with the pirates. Usually, they were hanged. Russian ships should not be popular targets for future Somali pirates."

I do not know and can not tell by the video.

If it's a pirates life you choose you better be ready for the pirates death when it comes calling in a Russian uniform. Good for the Russians.

If everyone acted the same as the Russians, there would be no more Somalian hijacking problem.

It'd be nice to know the pirates were truly onboard...

It's odd that our own Navy doesn't practice that, those pirates are parasitic sub humans and just like terrorists if they are freed will immediately go back and do it all again.

My buddy once said to me" don't lie to me this is not a fishing boat" . He wasn't catching any fish.

    Re: (mattmann7)

I don't believe they blew that boat up with the pirates on board. Has anyone heard of this before this film? If you scan down and read some of the reply's it states the pirates were released in a rubber raft, no food,no water, no power. That makes more sense....

I guess they cut out the footage of the trial.

That's good and all, right up until the ones with that much power use it for bad things. How do you tell which ones were the bad guys?

I'll take a little due process, thanks.

Our guys put a bullet in the forehead of the pirates that had one ship I remember. Is that not good enough?

Fuk Due Process!!!!!!! They are F'n Pirates! I dont know if you have ever heard what pirates do or not but it equtes to being a terrorist in the US. Only difference is we waste BIG money trying a case with the end result being a lifetime in prison beng cared for and fed by taxes paid by you and me! How the Fukk does that make sense!

It has to be true, the video is hosted on a site called True-Turtle Live Journal. They wouldn't call it true turtle if it wasn't true.

New shipping policy, raise a Russian flag when travelling in waters near Somalia. I wish, or hope it is true.
