Lowrance Elite 5x DSI Fishfinder

I need a new fish finder for the front of my boat. I Have a Lowrance X-135 on front now but I broke the transducer off the trolling motor while fishing. SO I either spend the money on a transducer or get a new system and I have been wanting a new system. I have been looking at the HDS 5 but for the money I am thinking that the Elite 5x is hard to pass up on. Academy has them for 399. Whats yall thoughts?

I like the X135. I also have 2 HDS units..The X135 is bar far one of the better units.. I can jig a bait and watch it on the unit and watch fish move to the bait..A transducer will run you about $50

Find a dealer that has some HDS5 gen1 units left over and you'll save money right now, dealers are clearing out old stock and even the factory rebates have been extended too. I think dsi is nice but not by itself without 2D sonar.

ok i found teh HDS 5 with lake insight for 499 on west marine and there is a 100 dollar rebate. I was gonna pay 399 for the elite 5x dsi anyway
