I agree she does not deserve the flags to be lowered![]()
I do think it is rather close minded that many have stated "she's just another druggy" like it is OK for her to die. This is still a human life
I'm not gonna comment, guess the Whitney posts have been to "touchy" lately....but thumbs down to her....

</td></tr></table>Let me clarify before I get hammered(if it is not too late) I understand she had a choice. I just think this is still a devastating loss of life to those close to her. I know I have unconditional love for my family and would be mourning no matter how much they drank or used. Some just trivialize this death because she was a rich famous addict. She was human, which is my point

It's NOT about Whitney (the performer)...at least for me.
It's entirely about a government official (an elected one at that) thinking that she should be remembered in this PARTICULAR manner...a manner reserved IMO for a different type of remembrance. It gives me the feeling he's got ulterior motives...

This really P!$$e$ me OFF! Crack is whack and so is the governor of New Jersey. I don't get offended easily but this is horrendous and truly disrespectful. Sorry to all of the true heroes who actually stand for something. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!![]()

Adamat...EVERY person who dies is human. The vast majority are "mourned" as well. However, being human and passing away doesn't equate to flags being flown at half mast.
Whitney has been on "Celebrity Death Watch" for years...and though it may be a bit morbid, her "impending" death, at least to those who have fun guessing that sort of thing...is not the kind of thing that gets "remembered" by national mourning. Even if she had NEVER partaken in drugs, her passing at 48 should not warrant flags at half mast...at least state or nation wide...![]()

Exactly. I'm sorry she pizzed off her life, and it's very sad, but, I'm totally sick of the coverage by the media. Jeez.......leave it alone and move on to something meaningful or relavent.
Wonder if Christie ever ordered flags at half staff for ANY of the 144 soldiers from NJ who have died in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Read my first post. I too am against her being honored with flags at half mast. I went on a tangent reading posts that 'she got what she deserved'. This is very narrow minded, IMO
Well I guess the flag should be at half staff all the time then, to mourn the loss of everyone that dies. HELL NO!!!!, It is only for those who gave their lives valantly defending our freedom in battle or civil service or went above and beyond the normal parameters of life and that had a great impact on everyones life in this country. Sorry, being immoral, a drug addict, and a social pariah for the majority of ones life does not justify nor qualify for such an honor. Doing this is like pissing on my head and me thanking you for doing it. Never gonna happen!!!!![]()
