    Decal Update With Pic

Any advise on install engine decals. I have destroyed two decal kits so far. I cannot get the decal to wrap around the rear top part of the cover without creasing it. I have follwed the directions to the T. I know there has to be a trick to it. Engine cover is a 2007 250 ETEC. Decal kit is the white stars and strips. I will attempt 2 more kits. Any input would be great.

Well thanks to the wife the third time was the charm. The first side took 15 mins and the second side took less then 10 mins. The cover looks great. All that's missing now is the ETEC decal. I should of left that on. New ones are on the way. I believe every 3.3 we get will have these installed.

Every guy I have seen attatching these things has given the colw a light spray of water (from a trigger bottle) before starting ... this allows the decal to be moved into position easily and then with a squegee the water and any air bubbles can be removed ... a couple of hours in the sun to get the adhesive warm and you're done

    Good Luck

    Re: Decal Help (Whitto)

The directions stated to wet the motor cover with soapy water then wet the decal also. Just cannot get it to make the bend. Thinking of trying to let the decal soak in the tub with hot water and some soap then trying it with a warm decal. Thanks for the response. Will keep you updated. New kits will be ordered Fri.

My screw up. Laying down watchin TV I looked at the directions again. Guess what step one is on the first page. Immerse the decal in a tub of soapy water.

Its part number 763708. You can order it from your local BRP dealer. It fits all 3.3 liter ETEC's.

Looks great. Be sure to order your's today. May want to take it to a decal shop or let the dealer install. The trick is alot of soapy water.

Hey Rudetec, I have a 2005 E-tec 250 and I would like these graphics on my motor. It is the deep blue/black color. Do they make the graphics for my E-TEC??
Thanks..Here is a pic of my motor.
