I had a daiwa fuego that was ROUGH lol. Had a bunch of scratches and basically beat to crap.
I took it down to the metal and painted it to at least have some color to it![]()
The blue color on the sideplates is the Dodge blue off the ram trucks, with some additional metalflake added.
The frame is black pearl gm paint with blue flake added.
two coats of clear. The handle is a Lew's speed spool carbon fiber handle and the drag star is from a zillion type r.
Like i said, it was rough with some gouges, so its not gonna be a showpiece, but i think it turned out decent.
This one was a tdz 103 H that was beyond ugly. The sideplates looked like they went to war with a chainsaw.I bought it that way with the intention of painting it. I just never had the time to do it until now. I chose gum drop as the sideplate color and also elected to do a textured finish on it. IMO, it turned out really nice. It now has a zpi carbon handle, that handle was just on it for some finishing touches so I didnt have to totally disassemble it again.
After drying overnight
All the rough spots were touched up and the areas I masked over were went over with a paint pen last night after pics.![]()
