A little help with a tat.

A couple of months ago, someone on here had designed a tattoo. It was a heart shaped one made of fish hooks. I believe it was in memorial of his dad. Could someone help h me find a picture of it. I liked it alot. I don't have a tat, but I believe this will be one and only. I really miss my dad. I want him with me all of the time. Thanks for the help.

Go to a shop and bring a couple hooks with you. They can work up some awesome one of a kind design for you.

I gotta ask...........Why not? Is there some unwritten rule in the underground world of tats or something.

So you're saying people shouldn't get tattoos like Harley Davidson or Military emblems because they were not done by the original artist? Yeah OK.

I think there is a difference between getting an HD or some other emblem/symbol tattooed as opposed someone else's custom piece.

Tattoo artist have been known to keep a copy of a tat they like and file it away. May not bring it out for years, or show it to someone and make a variation of the tat. Sometimes they will give it to a friend or family member starting out.

Unless you're hanging upside down, then it's WOW.

As previously stated. That's going to be with to be with you for awhile, so now you have an idea of what you want go to a reputable shop and get one that's designed just for you & dad.

Re: A little help with a tat. (Wichibass)

I saw that tat that a guy had drawn on here. It was great. I would like to get one similar to it in memory of my dad. I wouldn't do anything with that particular one without asking permission. I do not have one at this time. When I saw that one, I knew for sure that if I ever did get one, it would be like that.

What's the difference? Both are copying others art and some of the images I mentioned are probably even copyrighted.
And who's to say what a custom piece is? Maybe this artist saw the picture somewhere else and this is his version of it.
Just saying I don't really think there are any rules when it comes to tattoo art. If you see something you like, go ahead and get it.

WOW!...... I can honestly say that a post on the internet has never brought a tear to my eye..... Until now..... I was overwhelmed with emotion and flattered that someone else could understand what this tattoo has meant to me.

As far as an exact copy goes, I'm kinda torn. I share this exact tattoo with my younger brother (done the same day). It's a unique custom design and not to be selfish but it's mine. By all means change it to be yours. Please don't make an exact copy. With that said, make it your own by adding or subtracting. I look forward to seeing your design!
