    Roland Martin

    [img][/img]

Say what you want about his sales pitch of a tv show , but the old man can still fish with the big boys! He is in 11th at the big O and lost his trolling motor 8 minutes before check in!

    Re: Roland Martin (coolcajun)

I was waiting for pictures of this to show up. On stage he said he only had a few minutes to get to weigh in and his trolling motor rope broke and he couldnt get the trolling motor up so just took off with it down and broke it off.

I haven't run a Fortex, but many people have the same problem with MG Gator mounts. Mine works fine if I just put my foot on it to take the pressure off the latch before I tug gently on the rope. Some people are like a bull in a china shop...no attempt at finesse, just brute force. No wonder they break chit.
Don't bother me, I'm screwing for virginity.

I killed a 12-pack just to watch it die.

This! I have an uncle that is just a couple years older than me. We used to fish team tourneys together. Dude broke more stuff than anyone I've ever seen. He has trouble with motor ropes all the time, simply because he'll just grab the rope and yank the mortal hell out of it.

Roland has always been a competitor.....Obviously that trait hasn't gotten soft with age..

I think he's probably still a great fisherman but he's probably got more time on that lake than anyone in the field, right? Did anyone see his boy catch 36 lbs on his TV show at the big O?

He hasn't been in a Ranger in probably 10 years. He was in a Triton for several years and he's been in a Nitro for about 3 years now.
