For fishing 5-15 feet deep, what size/type hook and weight do you use? Also, what's your favorite bait for the c-rig?
Its not my favorite technique, but last weekend it was all I could catch them on.

2 1/4oz tungsten weights. 4/0 offset wide gap and a Super Fluke.
3/4 oz brass and glass, 3/0 Gammy EWG, zoom lizard.
In gin clear water, I will split shot a 4 inch zoom lizard for a finesse application. I just run the split shot up the main line 1 to 2 feet for crimp on carolina rig.
I find I catch more on a trick worm this time of year over a lizard. If there really on shad a fluke can be good. I use a 3/4oz tungsten barrel weight. It makes more noise with the glass bead and you feel the bottom better. Use 12lb mono for leader and 20lb flouro for main line. I actually like to Carolina rig because I can get a good feel what is on the bottom.
for pressured fish, 3/4 bullet weight, 12 # big game, 1/0 ewg gamakatsu in a zoom finesse worm. 3-7 ft leader
I use 3/4 ounce tungsten bullet weight, 2-5ft leader, and usually a yum dinger, senko, brush hog, yum hawgtail, tubes, rapala, slug-0, fluke, french fry, big ass worm, and whatever else sounds like fun that day.
3/4 or 1oz. lead egg sinker (I lose too many to use tungsten)- about a 2 ft leader with a 3/0 hook. Rigged with a Zoom lizard. I don't throw this much anymore but used to catch a lot of fish with this set up.
I drag through a lot of brush and lose my fair share but 3/8 lead bullet weight brass clicker glass bead with about a 3ft leader. 3 or 4/0 heavy wire hook with a rage craw or rojas fighting frog
They aint got hands, set the hook
When all else fails and they will only bite a c-rig I go golfing.
24 to 36 inch leader, and a 3/4 ounce egg sinker with a 2/0 round bend gammy hook. As for baits, I really like a trick worm or zoom finesse worm. If the fish are feeding on crawfish, a zoom roadkill craw is hard to beat.
