Just updated Solix G3 Mega SI and lost depth reading - any tips?

    Here’s the background:

I have Solix G3 12 in the dash and 2 Solix 10 G3s in the bow. I just had Mega Live 2 installed by my dealer. They updated the bow units to current version, but they were unable to update the dash unit.

I took the boat out for a quick on water test. Mega Live 2 works as well as the 360. The dash unit turns on and GPS works, but the depth reading doesn’t show up on the map or various SI, DI, etc.

I figured, step 1: update the unit. I was able to get it updated from 3.98 to 4.25 to 5.06 and finally 5.25 (current) - a
few hours of monkeying around with SD cards in my garage.

The depth reading isn’t displaying in the dash unit. This is actually more important to me than anything in the bow!! It says transducer connected and sometimes it says pinging disabled and sometimes not. I turned pinging on and off. Sometimes is say pinging disabled even when it “turned on.”

I’ve been all over the Humminbird site looking for fixes.

    Any ideas?

After updates, I like to power up all control heads and accessories, make sure they are network connected, and then do a Restore Factory Defaults from one unit. That will actually restore the defaults on all control heads at once and all all units will restart when finished. I then go through the First Time Setup on one unit, and it will update all those settings on all control heads.

I feel that this gets all units to the same starting place, properly detects all transducers/accessories, and results in less issues... but it could be a placebo as well. It may not make any difference, but I don't have the networking issues some seem to have.
