Megabass has modified the 110 lips

Had the joy of busting the lip off a $25 megabass.

Stopped at a tackle shop on the way home and they showed me a letter from Megabass stating that every 110 since like November 2011 has been made with a modification that strengthens the lip. They stated they were aware of the problems the past couple years with the lips breaking, but will not replace broken baits. Not that I expected it, but I emailed Molix about a jerkbait that had a defect and they not only replaced it but sent me 2 extras in various colors and a few more goodies.

I would just say I won't buy anymore, but damn they flat out catch em

That is why I opted for the Luck E Craft RC STX...I just am not at the level of paying $25 a bait...and I would be just sick if I broke it or hung it in a tree.

    Re: (UkCatsBasser)

I had over half a dozen break, and they told me to politely go get F'd, which I felt I already had for $150. It was definitely a manufacturing defect, there were air bubbles in the plastic WTH!
I have not purchased one since, and will not until they replace the ones they screwed up. Not like I need to buy any, I still have over 40 baits but only throw them in tournaments now.

CAUTION TO BUYERS! Inspect every bait for air bubbles prior to purchase.

This! Now if they replaced them when it happen it wouldn't be a big deal. But when they won't on a $25 bait I'll just buy the $8 alternative that fishes just as well from what I hear. Too cold here in Colorado to check mine out yet.

The RC doesn't have the same action, not even close. I'm pretty sure I know why but have yet to get my confirmation. Let's just say there's a reason for the price discrepancy and it's internal.

Re: Megabass has modified the 110 lips (Table Rock Spcl)

How different? I've been dying to know since I don't have access to a pool. The RC has smaller rattles and has a knocky sound. The 110 has larger tungsten rattles with rattly noise.
