Hey guys the time has come for me to begin my hunt for an internship, was wondering if anyone had any leads for me. I am looking for a position in Safety Management. Not OSHA but a companies defense to OSHA fines. If anyone knows of any decent places to check out please let me know. Hopefully in a rich fishing area too!! haha
Check with AEP in Ohio. They are a very safety conscious company and the pay is good.
With all the drilling being down in PA though, I'd look with those drillers.
I will look into that I have a couple connections with the drillers, maybe looking to flea the tri state area for awhile
Any RR, you'd be amazed at what we have to do.We go over safety safety safety and just when you think(not allowed by the way) you have had enough safety calls, papperwork, meetings, we do safety safety and umm safety. How about this, we fill out 2 exact job breifing forms every day every time the work, enviroment, or the people in the work area changes. One for the truck and one for our back pockets. We have a safety call every morning at 0700 and a safety call at 1445 everyday. We have yearly safety certifications, quarterly safety face to face meetings, & monthly safety conference calls. Safety safety safety safety safety safety safety safety... tired of reading safety yet cause we do safety on everything. If you get hurt, there is a rule somewhere you broke and you also didn't fill out your job breifing forms good enough cause if you did you would've forseen that was going to happen. thats what they tell us anyway.
Sometimes I need my ATV when in my boat and sometimes I need my boat while riding my ATV.
Casino's have big Safety Management departments.

better than the other options .. er ..option !
Check with any power generation companies that are in a location you'd be willing to relocate in. BTW Fed. OSHA pays pretty well and you will not be required to work as many hours. Also look into process safety management, when oil drilling picks up, and it will, the refineries and chemical makers will be hiring.
If you would oprefer manufacturing, I'd look at Caterpiller.
