9.9 E-tec info

Since I have seen an interest expressed here about the 9.9 E-tec I decided to ask my source about it.

This is not gospel but it is what I was told. The 9.9 etec is just an experiment and there are no plans to put it in production.

I think it would sell very well even if the price went up considerably. Can you imagine the fuel economy on a small john boat.

Im sure its in he works and im sure they have a few running. The big question is are people willing to spend the money.

BRP won"t release the 9.9 e-tec because they haven"t completed the testing yet.They need to compile the numbers like gas & oil use for there motor mauals & have been running this motor for 5 years non-stop,but have run into a problem that is holding up production.It hasn"t used up it"s 1st 6 gal can of gas yet & it"s 1/2 gal oil tank is only a pint down. They might release it in 4 or 5 more years when the gas & oil run out.Just Maybe.
