Gore tex Rain Suit

I need to wash and treat my BPS rain suit.I need to know what you guys use to treat your rain suits. I searched and see some products that put on a wet suit and put in dryer and some go on a dry suit and air dry. What have you had the best luck with?

If it has not been wash before you probably do not need to treat it with anything. Wash it like any other garmet, JUST DO NO POUR THE DETERGENT DIRECTLY ON THE GARMET. Start the water first pour the detergent in the water, mix it up some and then put the garmet in the water. After washing, dry in the dryer on med heat. The drying process rejuvenates the water repelant properties or the outer shell. JUST A NOTE, the outer shell IS NOT what makes GORE-TEX garmets water proof. If you feel the need to rejuvenate the outershell, there is a product called ReviveX that you spray on after washing the garmet and then place in the dryer.
See if you can find the TAGS that came with the garmet as they have all the care instructions you need.

I'll also add, do not use a detergant soap to wash. Use Nikwax Techwash or woolite, or something like that. Also no fabric softner.

WASHMachine-wash warm (104° F/40° C). Powder or liquid detergent. No fabric softener. Follow manufacturer's instructions. DRY CLEANIf professionally dry-cleaned, request clear distilled solvent rinse and spray repellent. Follow manufacturer's instructions. IRONSteam-iron warm, placing a towel or cloth between the garment and the iron. No need to iron the garment until it is completely dry. BLEACHNo chlorine bleach. It may damage your garment. Nothing wrong with using regular laundry detergent. Just DO NOT pour it on the garmet.
