    british military wives choir

Let me start this off by saying I have the utmost respect for the Brits Armed Forces.

This video is taken from a British series where a guy called Gareth Malone takes a group of people and turns them into a choir. This time he's taken a group of military wives whose husbands are all away in Afghanistan and turned them into a choir. Gareth looks about 16yrs old but is actually in his mid-30s and a Choirmaster for the London Symphony Orchestra, among other things. They wrote a song based on excerpts from letters written by the couples whilst apart and this is the beautiful result.

The single is out in the UK and thousands have been pre-ordered and all the money raised is going to military charities.

Carlos, I can't say that we ever had to do a Medevac in the North Atlantic while on patrol, but if we had I'd be able to tell you the Brit Sea King helocopter pilots are amazing! Those pilots focus on the leading edge of the sail of the submarine and go up and down and side to side with the motion of the ocean thats acting on the sub perfectly! If it had ever happened that is...

    Agree with you there!

We were off the coast of Liberia and the Brits where there with their Lynx. They did a "fly by" of sorts and it really demonstrated how good sticks they are and how good of an airplane the Lynx is.

In my new job I get to do some NATO work and work closely with the Brits. Good eggs they are.
