Man those first days are the worst. I almost went on a killing spree in the therapy center after I had my ACL reconstructed.

I can already feel the pain. One of the guys I work with had the same surgery. He is a health nut and in hella shape. He said the little PT girl brought tears to his eyes. CAN'T WAIT!!!

don't be sorry, I take more money home tax free w/o the BS.........I miss the guys, not the job. My head is in a much better place now. It's been 5yrs already...almost 15yrs on and I got out when I was 35. Sadly, I missed a promotion because of it, but that is fine now. Just stay safe and never hit someone in the orbital bone.

Good luck with the rehab, its gonna take some time but do what the therpist say and dont rush it to much. The first day should be relatively easy, they mostly take measurements. If i remember correctly there will be alot of rubber band excercises and a machine that would be similar to a eliptical machine but you only use your arms. The worst part is when they make you lay on your back and stretch your shoulder out.

It will be tough but worth it in the end. Been working in Therapy for 10 years now. The patients that work hard and take the pain end up much better off than the ones that dont.

This is exactly what happened. I did not do well. The therapist was shocked I stopped taking the pain medicine. I asked him if he wanted me to kill everyone on the road to get to the apt, he understood then. I have an apt with my Dr's Asst in the morning and have been instructed to find some sort of median with the pain meds as he said I will need them to start the therapy. I can have the wife take me for a week or two but she has a damn job as well. I have 3 apts a week for the next 8 weeks and then a re-eval.

Everyone other than John, thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I am ready to get this going and get on the water come Spring/Summer
