hopefully someone can help me out today launched the boat let her warm up and proceeded to get on plane when the motor started to system check it did this twice
motor seem to run fine so proceeded on didnt do it the rest of the day.just curious if anybody has had this happen or knows what could be happening thanks
First, which light came on, What oil are you using,Etc Also if you post the model # of your engine the gurus can help ya more.

oil:currently in the process of switching over to xd100,boat has had xd-50 ran in it
when i bought it and i am its first owner.
scratching my head on this one, i come to find out that my partner was trying to help me by starting up the motor for me while i parked the truck,he had pushed the button on the throttle handle moved it forward a couple times thinking that is how you start this motor. I dont know if this could be the reason for the system check blip?

no there are nuts also had the battery checked out it is good and i dont see any
signs of corrosion but i clean them up any ways.it only did this at the beginning of day it was shut off and started back up at least 10 times during the whole day of fishing with know blips
OK, there is either a interruption of power or ground to the electrical system or you could have a bad guage.
would there be any harm to continue using the motor and seeing if it acts up again

If the guage just cycles through there should be no problem with running it.
If you are the type to tinker see if everything is tight on the back of the ignition switch.
