    Web design software recommendations

Haven't done any web design for a number of years and learned on FrontPage which I don't even think is regularly used anymore. My brother was asked by his work to try his hand at designing a simple web page for his company. He has no real experience and asked for recommendations on a very easy to use, user friendly software for simple web design. thanks

Depending on what you want your website to do, many of the hosting sites have templates that you can customize. Do a web search for website templates and a good many will pop up. There are stand alone software like MS Expression but unless know what you are doing building a site from ground up is complicated. There is also Wordpress, MS Publisher also has several templates that you can customize.

My personal site was designed using Wordpress: http://www.dtaylorphotography.com (I had someone design this one for me)

This is one I did by using a template in MS Expression: http://www.scbasshunters.com

I would stay as far away from Homestead as possible. I inherited the operation of our club's web page on Homestead and it is the slowest most convoluted web hosting service I have ever seen.

thanks guys. I have done stand alone softwares but my brother would probably not be able to use that. I am thinking that the online providers with templates would be a good option for him. thanks.

I just purchased "Xara web designer 6" and redid my website. Still a lot of things it will do that I havn't. It uses templates, but the templates are customizable. Inport pics, resize, etc. Take a look at http://www.jonestrollingmotor.com and see what you think
