Just talked to a boy in our club tonight, first time in a couple months. And didn't realize what their family was going through. His older brother, also in our club, found out just after Thanksgiving, his 5 year old daughter (Christina) has an inoperative tumor wrapped around her brainstem. She has gone through several rounds of radiation and chemo. Showing a little progress, but they said recovery is only about 10%.
These boys lost their Dad, one of my best friends, about 6 years ago to stomach cancer. So they know what they maybe in for. That was rough, but I can't imagine what it would be like for a child.
