If they are the ones with the blue label, they are the new ones. I have group 27s that I bought last spring, and they have been flawless for me since.
I have two 27's for my trolling motor and they work great...I got a 24 for the cranking battery and it sucks ace in the cold weather. Not enough cranking amps I guess![]()

Go with the biggest CCA battery you can for your cranking battery - your motor will thank you.
have a 27 and a 29 in my boat. 12 volt trolling motor, and the 27 is on my motor which is only a 115. Has worked great now for two years.
Old batteries were dekaus, and I had them run down easy. Main battery would die if you ran the live well much.

I have 4 years on my Walmart batteries, and they're just starting to go out on me, so just going to replace them in the spring.
I think my 150XR6 calls for 850 min. I have a 1000. Even when the graphs are acting up it never misses a beat at cranking.
I got it from Wiggs at the MSR 1 yr ago. I can't remember the brand name:/

29s. If they survive the winter this will be the 7th season. I use a battery charger with a desulfater /recondition setting to optimize the maintenance.

I used to deliver Wal-Mart stores at 4am and used to see the Deka battery guy there at the same time. He was delivering new and picking the used Wal-Mart brands of battery![]()
