    Cabin Fever Trip to BassProShops

Man that put a dent in my wallett. That stuff adds up fast. Did pick up some new rods, NEEDED a good froggin rod and I think I found one. Also got me some of the new Skeet Reese rods. Can't wait to try them out. Good deals on chatterbaits too

What rod did you get for your froggin rod? I've been looking for a new one, but can't make up my mind. I've got a couple in mind......just curious what you went with.

Well... I'm a budget fisherman so I went with the Berkley Shock. 7' Medium Heavy. They only cost $50 so I got one.

Maybe if I was more of a budget fisherman I could afford a boat more like yours
I just think I've been putting waaaaaaay too much thought into this frog rod. I just want something that is going to load up really well, I just haven't been happy on the casting distance I get out of some of the rods I've tried in the past.

You'd probably be a bit surprised at the deal I got on the boat. I never in my wildest dreams would have believed I would have been able to buy a new boat. As for the rod, that's my biggest concern with it. It is very stout and I'm hoping I'll still be able to launch a frog a good distance. But after Pool 12 last year I knew I needed something a bit sturdier to horse 'em out of the slop.

They have the Johnny Morris reels down to $119 . I absolutely love those reels but all mine are holding up and I couldn't justify buying another one. I think they also had a deal where if you buy one they take 10% off your entire bill.
