I'll post the pics tomorrow night. Went to the reservoir last night to take some pics. Downright scary. Iowa City is already a mess and it's gonna get a whole lot worse. They let us walk right out on the spillway and it was an eery feeling. It was about 6" below the spillway and expected to go over tonight at midnight. Got a good look at the release and it is just amazing. They were releasing 20,000 cubic feet of water a minute (minute or second, I can't remember). The power of that water was frightnening. I've got a bunch of pics and I'll get them posted tomorrow. I also heard they are expecting Highway 61 north of Wapello to be closed as the water will go over the road thursday. I'm gonna need a detour to get to work. I'll keep snapping pics as this happens. Definitely some historic events happening right outside our doors!
