    60 degree E-TEC 200 lifting Ring

My new small block E-TEC 200 is on the way, and I need a lifting ring to lift and rig the motor. Will an older OMC V6 lifting ring work? Does the ring thread into the top of the flywheel/crank like my old Mercury 200? Are there other "safe" alternatives to shelling out over $90 for a tool I'll use once or twice?

Any help from the experts here is appreciatated. I will post details, photos and performance info on the motor once she is rigged and running.

BRP has a special lifting ring that goes over the top of the unique crankshaft stub on the 60 degree motors. It's the only safe way to lift it.

Today I have put my old motor on my boat; I need to use my boat now.

I have changed my order to an E-tec 200 hp, since they will arrive before 175 hp.

That’s what BRP told my dealer.

    Here is a picture.
