I have a '04 150 Johnson problem. The motor dies when I put it in gear and give it a little gas. If I let the motor idle its ok. It only does this if i run up the lake, stop to fish (30min or longer) and then try to crank up and leave agian. I can feather the gas or maybe crank the motor again and everythings ok. This is the only problem I have everything else runs great. Any ideas?

I have same motor and same problem!My dealer told me to squeeze primer bulb again if motor has been not running for 1/2hr or longer before starting!I like this moter but this is the only problem I ever had!
derbh, I feel the same way. I love the motor but wish I could get this issue resolved. My primer bulb is located inside my battery compartment. Not to easy to get to when I am in the boat.
