I pulled 5 normal ticks off after mushroom hunting Friday and then 8 of those microscopic ticks off. These are the ones that you cannot hardly see. I use duct tape to get them off. Most of them are about half the size of a pin head. Yep, bad again.

We have it like that here in the woods near me, there is also a new disease other than Lyme that is spreading these days that a lot of people are not aware of yet.

I go thru about a 3rd of a can of sportsmans repel everytime I go into the woods. Saturate my snakeboots with it and try not to rub up on any overhanging small pines. Thats where I usually pick up the most seed ticks is off those. The normal wood, deer and dog ticks around here usually come from knee level down so the amount of repel I use must work cause its usually a surprise if I find a tick on me.

Yup I always spray repelant every time I go in the woods, and I spray my yard down with bug killer in the spring and fall. Ever since I had Lyme disease I am more conscious of ticks. The dogs have their lyme vaccanies. I'm not sure why we have lyme vaccines for dogs but not humans.

I've removed 2 ticks off myself this year and that's it. Last year I removed none. I spend a lot of time in my yard and the adjacent woods that form part of my little kingdom and don't see too many. But they're there!!!

Have seen a few on the dog this year but not as bad as years past.. Been real dry though so far. Hate those things... One of the reasons I don't hunt much anymore...

We kept a ballplayer last year from Alabama. The kid had never seen a tick in his life, he was terrified at the thought of them.

Man I made the mistake of going turkey hunting last year without the permanone how ever you spell it, I can't tell you how many ticks I pulled off me it was crazy. I call them seed ticks they are tiny.

Yep, bad here around my house. Had 7, 4 dog ticks and 3 seed ticks after cutting the grass last week.. Be careful and watch for signs of Lyme . I got it last year after several found on leg after hunting .
