Oil Tanks and Level Senders for ICommand Install

I'm putting on a pair of ETECs and wanted to use the I-Command Oil tank sender kit part # 763581 with my new 1.8gal oil tanks. The instructions state that the sending kit goes into the return fitting. Also it mentions that Ficht motors can't use the sending kit (since they need the oil return line). I'll assume that I need the oil return line for the ETEC (right?), so how do you use the Oil level sender kit for ETEC motors? Do you need to drill another hole and mount the sending kit wherever you have room? Or can you just use the sender that comes with the tank and add ep-15 (is the sender that comes with the tank compatible with the EP-15)?

There is NO oil return line on an E-TEC V4 or V6 engine.

There is no sender in the oil tank. you need to remove the fitting for the old return line then enlarge the existing hole to fit the new float sender. The converter connedts to the terminals on the new sender.

I did read instructions on enlarging hole . Did the engineer drop the ball on that one ? Then I 'm suppose to install oil tank sender , then doesn't those two wires connect to lowrance backbone through the ep-15 ? then where does the other wires go that are on the oil tank? Or do I even use those ?

the other wires, a 2 wire deutsch connector, are the low oil and no oil warnings which remain functioning and unchanged regardless of the instrument system you install. This wire routes from the tank into the engine. See the engine installation manual for the connection point under the motor cover.

The oil tank sender you are installing is only a fluid level sender - just like a fuel level sender. It has no warnings. Now you don't have to look under a hatch cover to know the oil level.
