Well, when idling, my 200 SHO shows zero but you can see a good pee stream. Up on plane and close to max it shows 15 psi or better.
I've read that as long as it's 12 or better on plane you should be ok but that's only what I've read.
I would ask the place you got it from for this info. Also, you might get more responses in the regular Yamaha section.![]()

+1, on plane half throttle, about 8, WOT 14. My dealer's mechanic said Yamaha has not released any numbers on what the water pressure should be, but if it's less than 13 or 14, you should have it checked.
I use to get factory motors and was told that as long as we got 12 pounds or more at wot we were fine. I haven't run my Yamaha over 50 or so MPH and was getting around 11 and was wondering if it was alright. I couldn't find anything in the owner/s manual so I was thinking about dropping the mtr. a 1/4". I think I'll leave it alone until it is broken in and I pick up some speed to see what it does. And yes, it does have a good stream.
Thanks Guys,
Buddy
